End of Shift Procedure ====================== This section describes the procedure to put the instrument in safe conditions at the end of a shift. 1. **SA3 beamline** * Stop mono scan. * Stop mono gap sync . * Set number of pulses to 1. * Stop injection to GATT (if the next injection is not expected to happen in the next 1 hour or more). * Insert pre-absorber. * Extract TPI. 2. **PP laser** * Close the laser shutter. * Turn the key to disable the laser interlock. * Set the number of pulses to 1. * Stop delay scan. * Turn OFF the LT3 motor. * Stop the online monitoring tool for fine timing. 3. **SCS beamline** * Close all beam line gate valves *while monitoring the pressure in each section*. * Insert B4C at DPS-2. 4. **MCPs or APDs (TIM, CHEM, XOX...)** * Set all MCP and APD HV to zero and turn them OFF. 5. **XGM / HAMP** * Set voltages of the *HAMP h HV MP* to zero, power off the corresponding channel. 6. **DSSC** * Turn off the DSSC following the appropriate procedure. 7. **CHEM** * Open filter towards hRIXS * Close valve towards hRIXS 7. **XRD** * Open filter towards hRIXS * Close valve towards hRIXS * Turn off all XRD motors. 8. **hRIXS** * Close all valves between vaccuum sections and towards bellows * Stop camera 9. **DAQ** * Ignore data (in Run Controller scene) both in SCS and SA3 topics. 10. **Radiation interlock** * Make sure the shutter can be safely closed. * Close the shutter. * Break the radiation interlock.
